How will I know if a roof has problems?

Roof problems are generally discovered after leaking, wind damage, or other serious damage occurs. The condition of the roof covering will determine whether a repair or replacement roof is appropriate. When worn out, shingles sometimes curl, warp or lose granules and may have missing or damaged shingle tabs. Pay particular attention to any visible signs inside of your home such as cracked paint, discolored plasterboard, and peeling wallpaper. When looking at the exterior roof, look for cracks in tar and gravel roofs, exposed membranes, or any splitting and curling shingles.

My roof is leaking. Does this mean I need a new one?

Not necessarily. You may only need repair work. There are many factors that may be a contributing factor to roof leaks. The best way to determine the problem is to call in a professional roofing company for an evaluation.

What kind of roof do I need?

There are many types of roof systems and membranes available. This can depend on building use, access, weight loads, foot traffic, cost, etc. all play a factor in roof selection. Our sales representatives will take the time to provide roofing options, the distinctions in the various brands, how they’re tested, what the warranties are, and which suits your specific needs and budget.

Will the roof be completely torn off?

For optimal performance and warranty purposes, we recommend the removal of the old roofing membrane when doing a roof replacement. The condition of an existing roof deck will determine if it needs replacement.

How long can I expect my roof to last?

The condition and lifespan of your roof will depend on the type of roof you have, the effects of your local environment and the maintenance the roof has received. Visit the manufacturer's website for more information.

How long will it take for the roof to be completed?

Once we have commenced work on your roofing project, work will continue until the project is complete (weather permitting). Consult with our representative for a more detailed schedule outline.
